January 2016 Association Minutes East Campus Union

1. Call to Order. Emeriti Board President James Griesen called the meeting to order at 12:00 pm. He presented a gavel to outgoing Emeriti Board President, Duane Eversoll, thanking Eversoll for his leadership and service to the Association.

2. Memory Moments
   Griesen asked attendees to share a Memory Moment for the following persons:
   Harley Batie- Dentistry (December 5)
   Raymond Burchett – Conservation and Survey
   George Holdren – Accounting & Business (November 30)
   Lou Leviticus – Agricultural Engineering (December 12)
   Gary Meisters – Mathematics (December 2)
   Irene Ruzicka – Extension (October 14)
   Charles Stubblefield – English (December 1)

3. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer Jack Goebel reported the Association is solvent.

4. Coffee Chats. Nancy Aden reminded attendees about the monthly Coffee Chats. The February 12 chat will be held at Crescent Moon, the March 15 at Jeff Keown’s home and the April 12 chat will be at Crescent Moon.

5. Luncheon Program. Vice President Julie Johnson introduced the speakers for todays luncheon program.
   Butch Hug - Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Event Management
   Mark Robertson - Emergency Management Coordinator, University Police

   Both spoke about the security plans in place for the Nebraska Stadium and other athletic events. They answered questions from the luncheon attendees.

6. Both VP Johnson and President Griesen thanked the guest speakers.

7. The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 pm
